Vanilla crescent recipe

Who doesn't love it - the smell of freshly baked vanilla crescents! An absolute classic at Christmas time.

Ingredients

- 280 g flour smooth
- 200 g butter or margarine
- 100 g grated almonds or hazelnuts
- 80 g powdered sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- pinch of salt

Preparation

1. knead all ingredients into a smooth dough and let this rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or preferably overnight.

Roll the dough into rolls with a diameter of 1.5 cm. Cut small pieces from the roll and shape into croissants.

3. bake at 170 °C for approx. 10 minutes until light - and roll the still hot crescents in the vanilla-dusted sugar mixture

Tip: To make them crumbly especially quickly, simply place half an apple in the cookie tin overnight.
